First post...what to say???

Hi everyone. I started one of these things a while ago with xanga, but I am not able to keep in touch with all my friends through that, so I am starting this one too, though I am keeping xanga. I love it. As you can see, I am a Christian, so I would appreciate it if you would keep all the choice words and phrases off this site. Not to be mean or anything, I just really don't think all that is necessary. Well, off of the serious stuff. I guess since this is my first post, I should talk about who I am. My name is Megan. I have a little six year old brother and a fourteen year old sister who is sadly becoming a typical teenager. Save us all now. I thank God I never went through that stage, though I still have a year of teenage life to get through. When I was younger, I was extremely shy. I wouldn't even say hi to people I didn't know, and you would get maybe two word sentances out of me during conversations. Oh how I have changed since then. I definately still have my shy moments, but I now work with at-risk kids in a program called RAP, the same program I was in my 6th -8th grade years of school. With the program, church camp and the amazing church I started going to, I was forced to come out of my shell. I am doing things today that I never dreamed I would do four or five years ago. I have a job that actually requires me to lead and take charge. I am currently Treasurer for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at my school and I will soon be running for President. I have been in a puppet ministry since I was ten. We don't do any skits, but a lot of remakes of secular songs transformed into Christian songs. It sends a great message out to all ages. It is a fun way to spread the gospel. I also sing with the church choir. We have been on a local tv station for Delaware County in Ohio several times with two different shows, a Christmas one and just a regular one. Also within that group I have made three very wonderful friends. Kathy is my second mom, the person I can turn to for anything. Her daughters, Megan and Sarah have become like the older sisters I never had. Yeah, there are three Megans in my church, all who love to sing. On the singing topic, Megan, Sarah and I have decided to start a singing group with contemporary Christian music and some southern gospel since our church is really old fashioned. We are calling ourselves Lifeline, though we have yet to have our first practice. It will be very simple. Me playing the guitar and singing low harmony, Megan singing lead and Sarah singing high harmony. The arrangement might switch around for a few songs, but it is all up to God what we do with our group. So you've seen everything I do, but what about my passions? Who I am? Well, first off I have to say my absolute favorite thing to do is love and serve God, but I love using the gifts he gave me too. I absolutely love to write, if you haven't found that out already. I didn't know I could write until one year I went to camp and heard Bethany Dillon sing a song she wrote. That was five or six years ago I think, before she took off on the rode actually singing on tour and stuff. It is pretty sweet. Well, I just loved the beauty of it, so during our one-on-one time with God, I tried the same thing, writing songs. I'll tell you, that obviously is not God's plan for me. I have successfully written two songs in my lifetime, but what I did realize was that poetry and stories came completely naturally to me, and that with the right words and meanings, they could be just as beautiful as songs. I am good at drawing, but I'm not bragging by saying that. I can draw something by looking at the picture of what I want to draw, but I have absolutely no patience with myself in that talent. I get mad and throw pencils across the room and anything in my reach. So I've only successfully drawn about five full blown drawings in the past three years, and my what a mess I had to clean. lol. But I do love music. I love singing at the top of my lungs, and I don't sound so horrible. People actually request to hear me sing, so I can't be that bad. But I play about 15 or more instruments, a lot of them small. My two favorites though is the flute with my school band and the guitar. I don't really talk much, so those really help me get out how I feel. There is a song for everything. So there is a little about me. I've made my first post extremely long, so if I think of anything else to say I'll save it for later. Well, God Bless.
